About Floyd
Floyd County is a region of rural pastoral beauty, and it contains the longest section of the Blue Ridge Parkway of any county in Virginia. High on this plateau, views range from rolling meadows to scenic mountainscapes.
In the town of Floyd, the only traffic light in the county is near several interesting eateries, a country hardware store, antique stores, and other shops. Floyd has local wineries and a gourmet health food store. The Floyd Country Store has Appalachian mountain music spilling into the street every Friday night. The Crooked Trail, Virginia's music heritage parkway, also meanders through the county. The natural beauty of waterfalls, mountain meadows, and the winding Little River can be found everywhere.
